Does this make sence

I have an image being blown up into poster size

Best case it needs to be 24" x 36" at 150 PPI.

 

The one that we have will only be 22PPI at that size

If I go into photoshop can I set the image size to 24X36 150 PPI and save it that way and then when I send the file to the printer it will be all good?
