ITALIA, KOMPAS.com - Pabrik sepeda motor Italia Aprilia, sedang menjajal mencoba APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) yang dipasang pada model RSV4. Sepeda motor bergaya sport itu yang dilengkapi teknologi Launch Control (kontrol peluncur), Wheelie Control (kontrol roda terangkat), Traction Control (kontrol traksi) dan Quick Shift (perpindahan gigi cepat) di tes di sirkuit.

Sistem ini lebih banyak dipakai pada kendaraan roda empat. Menariknya, masing-masing sistem bisa diprogram dan dinon-aktifkan secara individu (pengendara).

Launch kontrol menjaga putaran mesin tidak terbuka terlalu besar saat ingin melesat di awal (biasanya di balapan). Sehingga, ban tidak mengalami spin. Selain ada LC, dengan tambahan Wheelie dan traksi kontrol, pebalap akan dengan mulus melesat.

Tak cuma itu. Wheelie control bisa melihat banyak data, termasuk akselerasi dan posisi gas. Seandainya terjadi roda mengangkat tidak ada pemutusan arus listrik, hanya perangkat tersebut memodulasi ketinggian ban, menjaga akselerasi maksimum, sehingga pebalap aman ketika menuver di tikungan.

Lain lagi dengan traksi kontrol. Sistem ini punya delapan tingkat penyetelan pada sudut tikungan yang berbeda. Jadi, hal ini bisa mengurangi gejalah slide di tikungan akibat tenaga mesin yang terlalu besar.

Sedang Quick Shift, hanya berfungsi menaikkan tiag gigi persneling tanpa harus menutup gas. Pergeserannya berlangsung 40 milidetik dengan mengevluasi kondisi perjalanan, posisi gas, posisi gigi dan percepatannya.
