Pada awal 70'an digawangi oleh band-band proto metal seperti Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, dll, musik Metal mulai merambah ke kancah dunia. Walaupun pada era tersebut masih dipengaruhi oleh elemen Blues/Hard Rock yang sangat kental, tetapi distorsi/raw dari musik metal ini sudah cukup terasa. Judas Priest mengembangkan genre ini dengan menghilangkan unsur blues dan lebih mengandalkan distorsi, beat yang lebih cepat, dan harmoni. Pada akhir 70'an munculah New Wave of British Heavy Metal yang dipelopori Iron Maiden.

progmet ada Iron Maiden, De Te, dsb... kalo yg jarang2 tau ada Lemur Voice, ada yg blg Lemur Voice band jadul dari Indonesia, ada yg blg dari Belanda, gw gak tau mana yg bener....

lagunya donlot sendiri gan.. banyak bin berdurasi panjang soale..

kalo De Te..emm.. gmn yak... agk ngebosenin, soale banyak part2 lagu yg sama di lagu berbeda, cth lagu Home ma Overture 1928...

Iron Maiden bukan prog. om, kalo Lemur Voice iya baru.
Tu band masih tergolong baru ko, taun 90'an ya kalo ga salah?
Setau saya itu band emang dari Belanda deh.

ane sukanya power metal/heavy metal ndan.
band2 yg ane demen: helloween, sonata arctica, vision devine, stratovarius, iron maiden, darkmoore, dreamland, rhapsody of fire, avantasia, edguy, dll.
mbok dibahas band2 seperti ini ndan.
menurut ane best meta ya helloween.

Saya juga pernah share beberapa link download band-band heavy ndan di sini.
Mau ngomongin apa nih?
Kalo power sih saya prefer ke Blind Guardian, karena masih aga-aga raw ke thrash. Kalo Helloween kurang ngikutin, tapi menurut saya jauh mendingan album-album awalnya dibanding yang sekarang-sekarang. Ga tau deh kenapa.
