Jakarta - Tak lama lagi Indonesia akan mempunyai pesawat kepresidenan sendiri. Pemerintah telah menemukan kata sepakat dalam penentuan harga pesawat dengan Boeing, produsen pesawat asal AS. Pesawat Boeing Business Jet 2 ini akan dibeli pemerintah dengan harga USD 58 juta.

"Kami berhasil menegosiasi USD 58 juta dari USD 62 juta," kata Mensesneg Sudi Silalahi dalam rapat kerja dengan Komisi II DPR di Gedung DPR, Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu (8/6/2011). DPR sebelumnya sudah menyetujui pengadaan pesawat kepresidenan.

Saat ini, Sudi sudah membuat surat kepada Menteri Keuangan untuk pengadaan green aircraft. "Sudah ditandatangai persetujuannya 27 Desember 2010 yang lalu," kata Sudi.

Dengan telah disepakatinya harga, maka pesawat ini akan mulai dirakit tahun 2012 dan diperkirakan akan selesai pada akhir tahun 2013.

"Tim teknis sedang mempersiapkan desain interiornya," ucapnya.
