Some buildings were built in Western style. * Gyeongbokgung Palace: Gyeongbokgung, is a royal palace located in northern Seoul, South Korea. First constructed in 1394 and reconstructed in 1867, it was the main and largest palace of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. The name of the palace, Gyeongbokgung, translates in English as "Palace of Shining Happiness. * Gwanghwamun Square: Gwanghwamun is the main and largest gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace, located in Seoul, South Korea. Created as part of an urban renewal project, Cheonggyecheon is a restoration of the stream that was once there before during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). * Seonyudo Park: Seonyudo Park is located on Seonyudo (Island), one of the islands situated on Hangang (River). Seonyu literally means "a place of scenic beauty".
