LOS ANGELES-Adele lagi-lagi menyapu bersih sebuah ajang penghargaan. Kali ini dia memboyong 12 trofi dalam ajang Billboard Music Awards 2012.
Pada ajang yang berlangsung di MGM, Grand Arena, Las Vegas tadi malam, Adele hampir membawa pulang seluruh piala dikategori yang ada. Kemenangan pelantun Someone Like You ini pun berkat album �21� dan single-nya yang bertajuk �Rolling in The Deep�.

Selain Adele, grup LMFAO juga sukses meraih penghargaan Song of The Year lewat lagu 'Party Rock Anthem'. Grup yang beranggotakan Redfoo dan SkyBlu ini menghentak panggung Billboard Music Awards dengan membawakan lagu andalan mereka 'Party Rock Anthem' dan 'Sexy and I Know It'.
Usai LMFAO, giliran Chris Brown tampil di atas panggung menyanyikan lagu 'Turn Up The Music' diiringi atraksi sejumlah pengendara sepeda BMX. Sementara itu Katy Perry yang tampil cantik dalam balutan gaun berwarna putih tampak membawakan lagu terbarunya berjudul 'Wide Awake'.
Adapun penyanyi sensasional Justin Bieber yang sukses memborong piala pada ajang Billboard Music Awards tahun lalu, tak ketinggalan menyanyikan lagu 'Boyfriend'. Meski gagal meraih Top Mail Artist, Bieber mengantongi penghargaan di kategori yang cukup unik, yakni Most Social Artist. seperti diketahui Bieber memiliki 22 juta pengikut di Twitter dan 43 juta penggemar situs jejaring sosial Facebook.
Selain itu, dalam ajang ini Billboard juga memberikan penghargaan khusus kepada para musisi yang telah berhasil mencetak sejarah musik Billboard seperti Katy Perry dengan Billboard Spotlight Award, Taylor Swift dengan Billboard Woman of The Year, Stevie Wonder mendapat Billboard Icon Award dan Whitney Houston yang meraih Billboard Millenium Award.
