Many thanks to these little guys and gals for being so cooperative! I thought this shot was pretty cool in that you can start to see the red developing on its "ruby throat". A funny story to go along with these pics. A few days ago I came home from work and notice one of these little guys caught in a spider web. I managed to get it down and remove as much of the web as I could. It sat there in my hand for about 5 minutes, kinda dazed, stressed I suppose from trying to thrash itself out of the web. Eventually it just took off. I can't say for sure that this is the bird, but since then, i've had no problems getting close to it and it doesn't seem to be as afraid of me, almost as though i'm being thanked. Man I love nature.
