Jakarta - Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) lagi-lagi menegaskan dirinya tidak akan lagi berpartisipasi dalam kancah politik untuk mencalonkan dirinya sendiri atu pun mencalonkan orang lain dalam Pemilu 2014. Dia mengaku akan kembali menjadi manusia biasa, yang mendoakan siapa saja yang hendak maju dalam Pilpres 2014.

Pernyataan SBY tersebut dia sampaikan saat memberi sambutan di hadapan puluhan pengurus Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) di Wisma Negara. SBY juga tak luma pendoakan semoga PPP sukses dalam Pemilu 2014 nanti.

"Doa saya, pada 2014 semoga PPP tetap berjaya. Ke depannya nanti saya menjadi manusia biasa yang mendoakan PPP, dan yang lainnya," kata Presiden SBY, Rabu (22/6/2011).

SBY mengaku senang bisa bekerjasama dengan PPP sejak 2004 hingga saat ini. Dari periode pertama hingga periode kedua kepemimpinannya, PPP telah mendukung langkah-langkah pemerintah di bawah kepemimpinannya.

"Alhamdulillah, 2009-2014 kita terus bekerjasama," kata SBY.

Kebersamaan SBY dan PPP, lanjut menurut pria asal Pacitan, Jawa Timur ini sebenarnya telah berlangsung lama, saat SBY menjadi Ketua Fraksi TNI/Polri. Pada saat itu, SBY dan PPP dan tentunya dengan fraksi-fraksi lain telah melalukan sebuah terobosan baru untuk menentukan arah reformasi.

"Waktu itu saya bersama sesepuh PPP, kami merumuskan arah kebijakan di negeri ini. Saya waktu itu tahun 1998/1999 menjadi Ketua Fraksi TNI/Polri," kenang SBY.

Saat itu, imbuhnya, terjadi gelombang perubahan besar di Indonesia. Perubahan dari zaman Orde Baru menuju zaman reformasi yang sangat bersejarah.

"Waktu itu, kita sama-sama supaya perubahan ke arah yang lebih benar, sesuai kepentingan rakyat, bukan revolusi," ungkap SBY.

Hadir dalam acara ini para pengurus PPP seperti Irgan Chairul Mahfiz, M Romahurmuziy, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, KH Nur Muhammad Iskandar dan masih banyak lagi pengurus pusat PPP lainnya.

Sementara Presiden dalam acara ini didampingi oleh Mensesneg Sudi Silalahi, Menko Polhukam Djoko Suyanto, Menko Kesra Agung Laksono, dan Seskab Dipo Alam. Acara cuma terbuka sekitar 10 menit saja. Selebihnya para wartawan diminta keluar ruangan Wisma Negara.
