Dynamic sound quality
The RX-V459B delivers a high power output to each of its six channels (90W x 6, 8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 0.06% THD), creating a dynamic surround sound experience.
The receiver also uses extremely high performance 192kHz/24-bit DACs for all channels; performing accurate sound field reproduction for high quality multi-channel sources, and providing outstanding separation and precise musical delineation for two-channel sources. And Yamaha�s recently developed LSI with 64- bit floating point quantisation processing delivers high speed, high density digital sound field processing.

The Digital ToP-ART design concept combines the latest and best technologies, parts and circuit designs to maximise sound quality. High Current Amplification uses superior components to achieve high current power with low impedance from input (power supply circuit) to output (speaker terminals).
Direct Stereo causes the input stereo signal to bypass the DSP circuitry so the pure signal is output without any processing or data loss whatsoever, delivering superior two-channel reproduction.
Compressed Music Enhancer improves the playback quality of music stored on your iPod or other portable audio player. When music is encoded in a digital compressed format such as MP3, frequency response suffers in the high and low ranges. Yamaha�s Compressed Music Enhancer employs sophisticated digital signal processing with our exclusive algorithms to improve compressed music quality. And it�s easy to connect your portable audio player to the RX-V459B via the mini jack on the receiver�s front panel.
Surround sound realism
Yamaha�s ultra-sophisticated Quad-Field and Tri-Field CINEMA DSP technology creates thrillingly realistic soundscapes in your room. Fourteen surround programmes provide full format compatibility and extensive listening choices. Additional features are also designed to extend your listening options.
Night Listening Enhancer offers two modes; Cinema and Music; with three-level selectability, which will ensure that you don�t miss movie dialogue or quiet passages, or lose overall surround spaciousness even during low volume listening late at night. SILENT CINEMA mode allows private listening enjoyment of multi-channel music or movies, with an accurate simulation of surround sound, through ordinary headphones.
Convenient connections
The RX-V459B offers a range of connection options. A mini jack on the front panel makes it convenient to connect iPods and other portable audio players. The component video inputs on the receiver offer higher picture quality, for use with units such as DVD players that have component video output. The RX-V459B is also HDTV compatible (1080i/720p). The receiver also features three component video inputs instead of the usual one or two, allowing you to enjoy three different sources without having to change connections.
