PHP/Javascript developer
PHP/Javascript developer needed About this job You will join a design team based in Malang. We are around 20 people. We primarily do design for presentations, but also icons, logos, and maybe website moving forward. Your job will be to develop the website where we handle design requests from customers. The tool consists of a PHP/MySQL back-end, based on a modern PHP framework with lots of cool stuff, and a single page application on the front-end using ExtJS 4.0. The position involves all the disciplines in developing a professional web application, and you get a lot of influence on how the product should be developed. It would be preferred that you could work from the office in Malang. The team is part of a company with office in Denmark as well. You will primarily be in contact with the CEO regarding the development. He is from Denmark and comes to Malang 4-5 times a year. You have to be fairly good in oral and written English, so the communication is smooth. You will communicate with him over skype several times a week. Responsibilities Architect, design and implement new features and maintain existing ones. Write code in PHP, Javascript, HTML and SCSS. Identify and address performance bottlenecks. Fix bugs and solve problems. Requirements B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience). Extensive experience in back-end development using object oriented PHP and MySQL. Extensive experience in rich internet applications using object oriented Javascript frameworks, HTML and CSS. Thorough understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, sessions, cookies, DNS, caching). Thorough understanding of all the aspects needed to build a large web application (e.g. database design, code layout, design patterns, usability). Good social skills.
