Default [NEWS] Audi TT RS : Merc SLS GT3 : Pagani Zonda 750

Raeder Motorsport teams up with Audi to create TT RS DTM edition. Scared?

Rumour has it, you even look at this thing in the face, it'll kill you. Its howls can be heard around the forested walls of the Nurburgring, and tales of its bodykit are told to scare naughty children...

This, TopGearers, is what a TT RS DTM-spec racer could look like. Could, because this is just a prototype, developed by Raeder Motorsport in conjunction with Audi.

At the last two rounds of the Nurburgring endurance championship, Raeder will contest the SP 4T class with this TT beastie as a test to see if the TT RS is a viable customer sport option. Which means, should the test be completed successfully, you could get your grubby mitts on a TT RS to go racing. Yay!

Not much info on the prototype as yet though. We do know it uses a five-cylinder TFSI engine (like the standard TT RS) and features 'racing-specific developments' in its bodywork, suspension and aerodynamics. Because, y'know, you couldn't ALREADY SEE THAT from the pictures.

Of some importance is the fact that the DTM-spec TT will 'adopt' some bits from the Audi R8 LMS, which in anyone's book, is Good News.

The TT RS almost spat in the face of the self-tan set with its pumped-up 340bhp attitude. This one sparks them clean out. We like.

SLS GT3 undergoes light workout at East German race track. Warning: sounds AMAZING

Accidents have made this year's F1 season most enjoyable.

Not because of the fire, aerobatics, destruction or death-defying pile-ups of course, but because the SLS AMG safety car has to be deployed. And if you're unaware, the SLS AMG makes a GOOD noise. So we got excited when news hit of the SLS GT3.

The SLS AMG GT3 is available to order for next year's FIA-approved GT3 races with deliveries starting in February, and packs a 6.2-litre V8 with an as-yet undetermined power output. The standard car remember, produces a meat-flavoured 563bhp, so the stripped-out GT3 version should be quite unhinged.

Apparently, Mercedes says the base SLS is so awesome, the transformation into GT3 racer wasn't as difficult as imagined. It does, obviously, get a lower stance, new bodykit, racing brakes, a big wing, a blah blah blah - let's get to the point: it sounds FANTASTIC. Seriously. It's good.

Here are 21 minutes of the monster Merc testing around the Eurospeedway Lausitz, mixed with a bit of pit-stop action.

Stop what you're doing, turn it up and remind yourself why AMG rules.

One-off Pagani Zonda 750 revealed

Super-exclusive edition of, erm, super-exclusive edition Zonda waves a purple hello...

This is the Pagani Zonda 750. It's purple. And that's about all we know.

Official details are harder to find than Bin Laden, but apparently this one-off PURPLE Pagani Zonda is based on the Cinque - itself a five-run special edition.

We can only guess that the '750' moniker relates to the power output of the likely 7.3-litre V12 Mercedes engine; an increase over the 670bhp produced by the Zonda Cinque on which it is reportedly based.

As details are as scarce as talent on the X-Factor or a fully-clothed lady dancer on Strictly, we'll leave you to chew on the gooey fat of these images. Oh, and because we're feeling extra generous (and need to fill out this story somewhat), below is a small video of the hardcore Pagani Zonda R doing a rather fantastic lap around the 'Green Hell'. Because, y'know, it's good.
