JAKARTA--MICOM: Direktorat Narkoba Polda Metro Jaya menangkap seorang warga negara Iran bernama M Reza Azimi atas dugaan kepemilikan sabu seberat 400 gram. Tersangka ditangkap polisi di sebuah hotel mewah di bilangan Jakarta Pusat pada Minggu (30/1) lalu.

"Tersangka ditangkap saat melakukan transaksi dengan petugas yang menyamar," ujar Direktur Direktorat Narkoba Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Anjan Pramuka Putra, Kamis (17/2).

Saat melakukan transaksi, pria yang diduga anggota jaringan pengedar sabu internasional asal Iran itu, meminta petugas yang menyamar untuk menunjukan uang senilai US$40 ribu (sekitar Rp355 juta) sebagai bukti membeli sabu itu. "Setelah diperlihatkan, tersangka kemudian menunjukan sabu yang dibawanya," ucap Anjan.

Dari tangan tersangka, polisi menyita barang bukti 400 gram sabu, satu buah paspor, satu unit telepon seluluer, satu buah 'depature card', dan dua lembar tiket pesawat jurusan Taheran-Bangkok-Jakarta.

Polisi menjerat tersangka dengan Pasal 114 Ayat (2) Subsider Pasal 112 Ayat (2) Undang-Undang RI No 35 Tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika dengan ancaman pidana mati, seumur hidup, atau penjara paling singkat 5 tahun dan paling lama 20 tahun.
