Awalnya dibangun pada tahun 1920, kolam Neptunus dirancang dan diperbesar dua kali oleh William Randolph Hearst dan arsitek Julia Morgan ke dalam kolam yang terlihat pada tur hari ini. Pool Neptunus terdiri dari marmer yang indah dan ubin serpentin, elemen antik dan seni rupa. Pool Neptunus terkuras untuk melakukan proyek pemeliharaan pada pipa dan tilework tersebut, serta pekerjaan konservasi di patung marmer. Pemeliharaan bersejarah dan kuratorial staf dan mitra terus-menerus melakukan pekerjaan yang sangat khusus untuk melestarikan Hearst Castle untuk generasi mendatang.
