Museum Harley-Davidson adalah sebuah museum Amerika Utara dekat pusat kota, Milwaukee, Wisconsin merayakan sejarah lebih dari 100 tahun sepeda motor Harley-Davidson. (12.000 m2) atau 130.000 meter persegi tiga kompleks bangunan pada tanggal 20 hektar (81.000 m2) di sepanjang tepi Sungai Menomonee berisi lebih dari 450 sepeda motor Harley-Davidson dan ratusan ribu artefak dari 106 tahun sejarah Harley-Davidson Motor Company Museum ini diperkirakan menarik sekitar 300.000 pengunjung setiap tahun.

Sejarahnya






Museum ini dibuka untuk umum pada tanggal 12 Juli 2008, pada 20 hektar (81.000 m2) lokasi di Lembah Menomonee. Museum ini dibangun di daerah historis industri Milwaukee.. Sebelum membeli Harley-Davidson tanah dari kota, situs itu sebelumnya digunakan oleh Milwaukee Departemen Pekerjaan Umum, Lakeshore (Perusahaan Pasir), dan Morton (Perusahaan Garam).



Pada akhir Februari 2006, desain untuk museum itu diresmikan. desain diciptakan oleh James Biber partner di Pentagram Arsitek, timnya, dan Michael Zweck-Bonner, perusahaan asosiasi di Pentagram , perusahaan arsitektur. mendesain museum selama 8 tahun.



Pada tanggal 1 Juni 2006, Harley-Davidson memulai pembangunan kompleks seharga $ 75 juta, upacara terobosan yang termasuk legendaris sepeda motor Harley-Davidson, Scott Parker, memecahkan tanah dengan melakukan Burnout dengan Harley-Davidson XL883R Sportster, bukan dari dengan sekop emas tradisional. Situs ini meliputi tempat parkir untuk 1.000 sepeda motor dan 500 mobil. Fasad Museum juga dilengkapi dengan 17 kaki (5,2 m)-tingginya .
