Depresi dan kecemasan adalah salah satu faktor penyebab penyakit jantung. Kehidupan yang memuaskan berdampak positif bagi kesehatan jantung. Penelitian yang dipublikasikan di European Heart Journal ini menguji 8.000 orang PNS di Inggris. Partisipan yang rata-rata berusia 49, diminta menilai tingkat kepuasan tujuh bidang kehidupan mereka, yang mencakup kehidupan percintaan, aktivitas waktu senggang, standar kehidupan, pekerjaan, keluarga, seks, dan diri sendiri. Mereka menilai skala kepuasan dari 1-7 (1 sangat tidak puas, 7 sangat puas). Nilai itu kemudian dirata-rata untuk memperoleh angka kepuasan secara keseluruhan. Para partisipan juga diperiksa catatan kondisi kesehatan jantungnya, selama enam tahun. Hasilnya menunjukkan, semakin tinggi tingkat kepuasan seseorang atas hidupnya sendiri, semakin semakin kecil ia terkena risiko penyakit jantung koroner. Risiko penyakit jantung rata-rata berkurang 13%. Penurunan risiko ini sama antara perempuan dan laki-laki. (Sumber) |

misal puas dengan rumah yg ada, puas dengan keuangan. jangan sampe puas karena liat tetangga kehilangan mobil sementara dia sendiri emang ngga punya mobil, jadi puas karena sama2 ngga punya mobil. |
